Do you ever feel lost in the daily grind of an ever expanding to-do list?
Or notice yourself regularly sacrificing your heart’s desires to seemingly urgent but less fulfilling tasks?
Do you hear a relentless whisper suggesting that no matter how much you do it will never be enough?
Me too. In fact, once in a while in the midst of day-to-day busyness, I start to feel like I’ve lost the plot. There are plenty of things “to-do” but when I pause the incessant motion, I’m sometimes left wondering what’s the real purpose.
In our culture of continual status updates, demanding careers, instagram envy, and FOMA* there’s a lot of pressure – self imposed & otherwise – to live up to some imaginary standard of a woman who can do it all (or is it just me?). Add in the responsibilities we feel to our loved ones, and things get overwhelming quickly!
Overwhelm easily translates to a near constant hum of stress, and a feeling of disconnection. Soon, we’re missing out on many of the little joys in everyday life. That’s a problem because it’s hard to feel fulfilled when you’re missing out on joy.
Beyond the personal consequences of an unfulfilled existence, this trend has a troubling reach because fulfilled, on Purpose women are often the unstoppable change-makers of our world.
So I’ve been gathering ways to break out of the cycle. To foster a deep connection to the beautiful moments in everyday life, on Purpose. I’ve set out to help other women do the same.
Connection is where the magic happens.
I started my coaching career as a Health Coach. For two years I worked side by side with Dr. Frank Lipman in his functional medicine practice in Manhattan.
In guiding his patients through significant lifestyle shifts aimed at improving their health, I saw results that were often profound. Interestingly, they almost always began with a few small changes, applied consistently over time.
Helping them overcome their stories and make changes that seemed impossible initially, I began noticing stories in my own life that were dominating my experience. Stories of fear. Stories of inferiority. Stories of insecurity.
What if changing these stories was possible too? What if I could design habits into my life to bring my thoughts and actions into alignment with the experience I want to be having?
This has become a slow and steady #workinprogress.
When I remember, I strive to release myself from the pressure to do everything.
I strive to find opportunities to connect deeply with people around me.
I strive to following the lead of my pre-schooler, always on the lookout for wonder in the world.
Make no mistake, there is no one right way to live a Beautiful, on Purpose life. Only a winding journey with twists and turns as unique as you & I.
As a coach, it’s not my intention to tell you whom you should be and what you should be doing, goodness knows you’ve probably got enough of that in your life. In fact, my goal is to help you cut through the should-be-doings and get clear on your own feelings about what’s important for you to connect with beauty; to feel fulfilled and on Purpose.
From there we’ll examine what’s holding you back, and build on that understanding by designing systems to support you in creating a deep sense of joy, fulfillment, and love in your life.
It is truly an honor to share this space with you.
